The summary, in three sentences.
Your lists and projects are yours and live on your device. We only store in the cloud what is essential to sync them between your iPhone and your Mac, and only if you sign in.
We don’t sell your data, we don’t share it with advertisers, we don’t use tracking cookies, and there is no advertising or behavioural analytics in the app.
The data controller is Saúl Huerta Montalvo, developer of the Your Lighting Check app.

| Data | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Email address and name linked to your Google or Apple account | To identify you so your projects can sync between your devices | Performance of the contract |
| Content you create: projects, equipment lists, dates, notes, working terms and rates, timesheets | So the app works and your work is available on your devices | Performance of the contract |
| Contact details you type into a project (gaffer, phone, email, production company, DOP) | They appear in the documents you export. You enter them and you control them | Performance of the contract |
| Logo you upload as a watermark | To stamp it on the PDFs you export | Performance of the contract |
| Your subscription status and your account’s internal identifier | To know whether you have active access and on which plan (monthly or annual) | Performance of the contract and legal obligation |
| The specific contact you choose from your address book | To add them to a project’s crew. Only that contact is stored, within that project | Your consent, given when you choose the contact |
| The shoot dates you decide to add to your calendar | To create those events in your device’s calendar | Your consent, given when you allow access |
| The working region or country of each project (for example, Europe, the United States or Chile) | To calculate voltages and amps, and to use that country's equipment, units and currency. This is not location data | Performance of the contract |
| The language and country set on your device | To suggest the starting language and region. They are read on the device itself and are not sent to any server | Legitimate interest in the app starting in your language |
We do not process special categories of data. The app does not ask for or need health data, political opinions, trade union membership, ethnic origin or any other sensitive data. If you choose to type such information into a notes field, it will be stored like any other text of yours, but the app does not ask for it or use it for anything.
The app only asks for access to features of your device when you use them, and you can withdraw that access at any time in iOS Settings. If you don’t grant it, the rest of the app keeps working.
Your data is stored on your own device. If you sign in, it is also copied to Google Firebase (Google Ireland Limited), acting as data processor, so it can sync between your devices.
The servers are in the European Union. If there were ever transfers outside the European Economic Area, they would be made under the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
Subscription payments are handled by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see or store your card details.
To check whether your subscription is active we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States), acting as data processor. RevenueCat receives your subscription status from Apple and links it to an internal identifier for your account; it does not receive your projects or your payment details. As it is a company outside the European Economic Area, this transfer is made with the safeguards required by the General Data Protection Regulation.
You can exercise at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason, your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw your consent.
Write to huertamontalvosaul@gmail.com. We will reply within 30 days.
You can exercise many of these rights yourself without asking us: in the app, in Settings, you can export your projects and delete your account.
If you believe we haven’t handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or to the data protection authority of the country where you live (in the United Kingdom, the ICO).
The app is aimed at professionals in the film and television industry and is not intended for children under 14. We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.
Communication with our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Access is protected by your Google or Apple account, so we never handle or know your password.
If we change anything significant, we will let you know in the app before it takes effect. The date of the last update always appears at the top of this document.
This policy is a translation of the Spanish version. Both versions have the same content.
